Hanami along the Meguro River
目黒川

Note: Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 there will be no nighttime light-up event around Meguro River. You can however, still see the cherry blossoms during the day as usual.
If you are not a big fan of parks and gardens, head to Meguro river and be rewarded with one of the most beautiful hanami spots the city has to offer. With a seemingly never-ending row of cherry blossom trees (there are supposedly 800 of them along the river!), you will not be disappointed with this experience. During hanami season, many of the shops and cafés along the river also set up stands selling drinks and food, often themed around the ever-popular sakura blossom. We recommend starting the tour from the hip Naka-Meguro area and walking South towards Meguro, you can however, also walk North towards Ikejiri-ōhashi Station.
Note: Due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak, there will be no nighttime illuminations along Meguro River this year.
