Pancakes at gram | Various Locations

Opening its first store in Osaka in 2014, the success of this pancake paradise has allowed gram to expand and open branches from Okinawa to Tokyo. While this café only serves one type of ultra-fluffy pancake as pictured below, there are also other regular pancake versions with various toppings on offer. The fluffy “premium pancake” as it is called in this store, comes in a set of three with an outstanding whipped cream on the side and costs¥950. Its gorgeous, smooth texture makes for one of the best pancake experiences in Tokyo and is so good that it doesn’t really require any other toppings.
Beware however, that gram only offers the premium pancakes three times a day at 11:00, 15:00 and 18:00, and there are only 20 portions available during each time slot. While the Harajuku branch is certainly the most popular, the Kudanshita branch next to Yasukuni Shrine and the Imperial Palace is less crowded on weekdays, making it easier to catch one of the few portions available.
While the fluffy pancakes are of course the star in this café’s food line-up, gram also offers some pretty decent lunch options including pancakes (obviously), salads, sandwiches, soups and more.
