Kayanoya | Nihonbashi

茅乃舎 コレド室町 日本橋店

With a history dating back to the Meiji Era, Kayanoya has forged its way from a small-town soy sauce brewer in Kyushu to one of Japan’s most renown producers of restaurant-quality dashi stock and other additive-free seasonings. Kayanoya’s remarkable Nihonbashi store was designed by none other than celebrated architect Kengo Kuma, who found inspiration in the barrels and trays found in Kayanoya’s traditional warehouse to create an outstanding shop display that carries his famous wooden signature.
