Pokémon Center | Shibuya
ポケモンセンターシブヤ
As the home to some of the world’s most popular game and anime franchises, it’s no surprise that Tokyo also hosts some of the best Pokémon stores in the world. Filled with stuffed animals (we mean Pokémon, of course), stickers, clothes, stationary and other trinkets of Pikachu, Eevee and co., there is about nothing left to be desired for those of us who have grown up (or are still growing up) with our favorite Pokémon characters.
Located on the 6th floor of Shibuya’s newly revamped PARCO shopping mall, Pokémon Center Shibuya might so far be Japan’s most stunning version of the ever-so-popular anime store chain. A majestic, life-sized Mewtwo sits calmly sleeping in its futuristic tank - seemingly guarding the entrance to the store and perhaps waiting to be woken up (or better not). Enter the shop, and you will find a range of Pokémon-themed streetware, skateboards, interactive touch-panels, a giant, graffiti-covered Pikachu and, of course, any Pokémon merchandise imagineable.
