Tea Ceremony at Suntory Museum of Art | Roppongi

Hidden within the modern oasis that is Tokyo Midtown, Genchoan Tea Room inside Suntory Museum of Art offers traditional tea ceremonies to visitors on designated Thursdays almost every month (see ‘Demonstrations’ for more info), providing a welcome escape from our often too busy lives in the calming surroundings of a tatami tea room. Every tea ceremony includes a demonstration, a matcha green tea and seasonal sweet which are a perfect introduction or conclusion to any visit to Suntory Museum of Art.

* No reservation is required but numbers are limited to 48.
* Tickets for the day’s tea ceremony go on sale at 10:00 at the 3F reception desk.
*Reservations are not available; ticket sales are limited to two per person.
* to participate in the tea ceremony, an admissions ticket to Suntory Museum of Art is also required
