Born in Hokkaido, shiro is a cosmetic, fragrance and home care brand whose iconic sleek, white design stays true to its snowy northern roots. Having recently opened overseas shops in London and New York, the brand using natural and locally sourced ingredients mostly from Hokkaido and other parts of Japan, such as kagome kombu, sake kasu or flaxseed oil, has finally reached its well-deserved fanbase abroad.
It’s not until you enter shiro’s magnificent Jiyugaoka store’s basement level however, that you will truly understand the mastery of shop, product and packaging design that distinguishes shiro from other Japanese cosmetic brands.
